Tankoubon
Tankoubon, or better known as Graphic Novels, compile manga chapters into book format. Below you can find release date information as well as ISBN numbers to help you track down a copy of the Japanese releases for your collection!
Bunko
Bunko or pocket editions, are smaller versions of the tankoubon. They compress the series into a smaller amount of volumes to make it easier for new readers to collect. Bunko have no extras like the authors comments, or extra illustrations that are found in the tankoubon. Its just the manga, nothing more, nothing less.
Novels
Due to the popularity of the Ayashi no Ceres manga, a series of novel's were released to continue the story of Aya, Tooya, their daughter Miku, and the rest of the ANC gang. Written by Megumi Nishizaki, and illustrated by Yuu Watase, the first three books focus on only a single character while the last three books episode of Miku, is a three part story following Aya and Tooya's daughter.
Ayashi no Ceres Gaiden
Ayashi no Ceres Gaiden, or the Legend of Ayashi no Ceres, is a one shot story telling the tale of Ceres and Mikagi, just as Aya is about to give birth to her baby. To fully enjoy this story, Ayashi no Ceres should be read first, but not really necessary.
This story was released as a furoku (free gift) item, in an issue of Sho-comi magazine, and until recently was very hard to come by. It has since been reprinted in volume 6 of the Genbu Kaiden manga series, Viz translated this volume, and is now available for the English reading audience.
